Wow, that was wonderful, I had read her book, but to see Hellen and Anne in live action, that is something else. Thank you!
Could you imagine learning the entire English language and having such elegance with words as Helen did without being able to see people speak and hear their speech?! Her way with words ended up being so beautiful after being with Anne…. I’ve read her autobiography four times.

Amazing. I grew up knowing the story of Sullivan and Keller but never actually understood how she was able to have that basic understanding to communicate. This is so fascinating.
I find it deeply moving when she smiles and says, “now I am not dumb”. I am struck by the double meaning of the word back then, when an inability to speak was perceived as a mental deficiency.
